"Overcome the 'now is not a good time to quit smoking' mindset and increase your motivation to quit smoking!"

We all know the risks of smoking for our health, but that doesn't make it easier to quit this habit. Smoking is both a physical addiction and a psychological habit. To successfully quit smoking, you will need to address both the addiction and the habits and routines associated with it. But it is possible! With the right support and quitting plan, any smoker can overcome the addiction—even if you have tried and failed many times in the past.

Together, we will work to strengthen your motivation and commitment to change so that you can resolve the ambivalence issue – "I know smoking is not good for me, BUT I enjoy it, it relaxes me, it helps me control my weight, etc." – and move through the stages of change.

I will listen to you reflectively and accept your ambivalence without any criticism.

I will see the world through your eyes and help you understand the difference between your current behavior and the desired way of life.

The motivation for change will be determined by you, not by an external advisor.

We will create your own quitting plan that is tailored to your needs and habits and will help you face both short-term challenges and long-term relapses. Prescribing specific methods or techniques has proven to be ineffective. By allowing you to pursue change with your own resources, the likelihood of success increases.
